This month it was a honor to speak at the Africa Gaming & Innovation Week about the role of Gaming and the Metaverse in shaping the future of tourism experiences. When you consider the inclusive nature of our virtual worlds it allows you to redefine your preconceived ideas of travel. If travel is both physical and virtual, tourists can enjoy immersion in culture and history of places in ways that would have been previously unimaginable. SITE Network Hits the Roads to Begin Building Scottish Tourism Gateway
Our friends and MTA founding member SITE Network took to the highlands of Scotland to begin recording for their immersive experiences this week.
SITEnetwork, working with the Association of Scottish Visitor Attractions (ASVA) and the United Nations Urban Metaverse Group visited iconic Eilean Donan Castle to scan and add to their Scottish Destination showcase.
Eilean Donan is the world's most photographed castle with recent archeological finds changing the history of the castle as we know it.
SITEnetwork are working on a number of initiatives from "time travel" between castle periods to AI enabled interactions with characters who have called the castle home over its 800 year old history.
More attractions are in the pipeline as well as a node for Poland, Mexico and the USA.
